history

In the 1980s and especially after the end of the communist regime , the capital city club dominated the championship.

In 2017 Tirana had to relegate for the first time in the club's history, but won the cup and the Supercup in the same year . As a result, the Brazilian Zé Maria (José Marcelo Ferreira), former national team player , was hired as a coach. The season 2018/19 played KF Tirana again top notch, in the following season the club won for the 25th time the championship.
