In 1935, theategoria e Parë was suspended for the first time in its history. In 1936 gaming operations were resumed.
The league was increased to eight teams and thus comprised more teams than in the previous championships. In 1935, numerous clubs changed their name: Bashkimi Shkodran was renamed KS Vllaznia Shkodra , SK Kavaja was now called KS Besa Kavaja and the Vlora sports club was called KS Ismail Qemali Vlora , based on the founder of Albania, Ismail Qemali . For the first time in the championship Dragoj Pogradec took part.
In 1936, as there had been since 1933, there was to be no athletic relegation to the then still second-rate category e dytë . All teams competed against each other twice. The two games between KS Ismail Qemali Vlora and KS Skënderbeu Korça were not played, so both teams had two games less at the end of the season.
A total of 165 goals were scored, which corresponds to an average of 3.1 goals per game. The top scorer with eleven goals was Riza Lushta from SK Tirana .
For the fifth time, SK Tirana won the Albanian championship title in the sixth championship. With 50 own goals and only eight goals against, the capital club had the best values. In addition, they remained undefeated in all fourteen games. With two points behind Vllaznia Shkodra was for the third time in the club's history runner-up. Already ten points behind was KS Besa Kavaja as third , who achieved the best placement so far in his third first division year. For last year's runner-up Skënderbeu Korça it was enough in 1936 only to fourth place level with Teuta Durrës , also because they had two games fewer than the other teams because of the non-played games against Vlora. Newcomer Dragoj Pogradec landed in sixth place in the first division of the club, leaving Bashkimi Elbasan and Ismail Qemali Vlora , who was last for the second time in a row, behind.
