Participants in the categoria e Parë 1952 (red = group A, green = group B, black = group C)
Defending champion Dinamo Tirana prevailed in Group A with great confidence . The capital club won all twelve games and only had to concede two goals in 46 goals they scored themselves. Puna Korça followed in second place in the group. Due to the lost direct comparison against Puna Durrës with equal points , Spartaku Shkodra had to relegate to the second division alongside Puna Kavaja , Puna Gjirokastra and the winless Puna Fier .
There was also a sovereign first place in Group B: Last year's runner-up Partizani Tirana also won all twelve games and scored 64 goals with only three goals conceded. In addition to Partizani, Puna Shkodra also made it into the finals. There was also a close battle for relegation in season B: in the end, Puna Vlora saved himself one point ahead of Puna Berat , who was followed by the defeated promoted Spartaku Korça , Puna Lushnja and Puna Lezha , who remained without a win, in the second division.
Record champions Puna Tirana prevailed unbeaten with only two goals in season C. In the finals he was followed by Dinamo Vlora , who was the only newcomer to move into this. The climbers Luftëtari Sh.BO "Enver Hoxha" Tirana and Spartaku Pogradec managed to stay in third and fourth. Puna Elbasan and the winless Puna Shijak, however, relegated as did Spartaku Qyteti Stalin , who withdrew before the season and played no games.
For the third time in a row, Dinamo Tirana secured the Albanian championship title with player-coach Zihni Gjinali in the final round. As in previous seasons, it was a close fight against Partizani Tirana , and in 1952 the two opponents were only separated by one point. Puna Shkodra finished third, four points behind . Puna Korça followed in fourth place . Record champion Puna Tirana was somewhat surprisingly only fifth. Dinamo Vlora , who had made it to the finals as the only promoted team , remained without a win . The last place meant the direct relegation.
