history

The association was founded in 1923 under the name KS Tomori , named after the consultant Hausberg Tomorr . From 1931, when the club took part in the Albanian football championship for the first time and very unsuccessfully, until 1935 it was called KS Muzaka . As a result, they returned to the old name, but switched to Berat in 1949 and from 1950 to 1957, like many other football clubs, to Puna Berat (work Berat) .

In the 1937 season Tomori played again in the top league and was there again when the game was resumed in the championship in the 1945 season . As in 1931, however, there was no success and Tomori was bottom of the table. Since other teams withdrew from the competition, Tomori could also play in the 1946 season. Again Tomori was group last, again the club could stay in the first division. In the 1947 season they reached sixth place out of nine teams with four wins. As the second from bottom of Group B in the 1948 season , relegation to the second division followed. With the name Puna , the club reached ninth place out of 14 teams in 1951 . After the championship of 1952 , Puna was just one of the eleven relegated teams - the league was reduced from 21 teams to ten. In 1955 Puna played again in the league expanded to 16 teams and was able to receive the first class as twelfth. The 1956 season ended Puna again as bottom of the table.

In 1960 Tomori played first class again and managed to get into the league as eighth out of ten, only to be relegated in 1961 as bottom of the table. For the 1962/63 season , the league was again expanded to twelve teams, Tomori was able to complete several championships with some success in 1963 as tenth, 1964 as eighth, 1965 as ninth, 1966 as tenth and 1967 as seventh. In 1964, Tomori was also in the final of the Albanian Football Cup , which was lost 3-0 to Partizani Tirana . The championship of 1968 ended second last, which meant relegation again.

Already in the 1970/71 season Tomori was first class again and finished the championship in tenth of now 14 teams. In 1972 the club ended again in penultimate place and had to relegate. Only in the 1977/78 season was Tomori back in the first division, finishing it in 7th place (out of twelve teams). In 1979 the club was eighth, in 1980 and 1981 the league was preserved as twelfth of 14 teams each. In the 1981/82 season Tomori succeeded in sixth. In 1983 they finished in 10th place and in 1984 in 9th place. The 1984/85 season Tomori again reached the sixth place, in the 1985/86 season the tenth and in the 1986/87 season the eleventh. The downward trend continued, so that when thirteenth in 1988 the league was no longer successful. Already in the 1989/90 season they played first class again and ended in 9th place. There followed good years with 5th place in the 1990/91 season and 9th place in the 1991/92 season .

After the 1992/93 season , the second last place was followed by relegation for a year. In 1995 Tomori reached 9th place again, in 1996 14th place from now 18 teams. In the 1996/97 season , the club was thirteenth out of 18 in the first round and last of one of the three groups into which the league had been divided in the second round. Since there was no relegation, Tomori played in the 1997/98 season in the top division and reached rank 10. 1999 Tomori was fourth. In the 1999/2000 season Tomori reached second place behind the equal points SK Tirana . The play-off game against SK Tirana was just lost after a draw (1: 1) on penalties (5: 4).

The success did not last long: The 2000/01 season ended the club in twelfth place and still narrowly escaped relegation, which followed in the 2001/02 season on the 14th and last place in the table. After that Tomori played for a long time in the second-rate category e parë , in the seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 even only in the third-highest leagueategoria e dytë . In 2010, when he was runner-up in the group, he was promoted to the second division, where Tomori took second place and was able to move up to the top division after just one year. However, the league did not succeed in the 2012/13 season . In 2015, he was even relegated from the second division - but one year later Tomori rose again as the master of the categoria e dytë.
