history
The association was founded in 1925 under the name SKS Adriatiku Kavajë . After five years it was decided to change the name to SK Kavajë . In 1933 they played in the first Albanian league for the first time. 10 years after its founding, the club was first given its current name in 1935, but was renamed Kavajë in 1949 and Puna Kavajë in 1950 , before being given its current name back in 1958. In 1971 Besa Kavajë lost in the final of the Balkan Cup against Panionios Athens .
Between 1986 and 2011, with the exception of the 2004/05 season, the club always played first-class - from 2007 they repeatedly qualified for international competitions. A second place in the 2009/10 season was followed by the penultimate place in the table and thus relegation in the 2010/11 season . A year later, however, they managed to get up again immediately with a 4th place in the second division and the subsequent relegation games against KS Kamza . In the 2012/13 season , the league was in the Superiore category in ninth place. In the following season they were ninth again, but rose because the league was reduced to twelve participating teams.
