Skerdilaid "Skerdi" Curri [ ʦuri ] (born October 6, 1975 in Kavaja ) is a former Albanian football player and current coach . From 2003 to 2013 he worked for FC Erzgebirge Aue - until 2012 as a player in the professional team and from the season 2012/13 until the end of April 2013 as player-coach of the second team.
Career
Curri started his career with KS Besa Kavaja in his hometown. In 1995 he moved to the capital club Partizani Tirana , with which he won the Albanian Cup in 1997.
In January 1998 Curri left Tirana and moved to Germany for SpVgg Unterhaching , where he only came to a league assignment in the following second half of the season. He then moved to the Bayern league club FC Starnberg , where he played the 1998/99 season.
From 1999 to 2003 he played for the traditional Vogtland club VFC Plauen in the regional league. From 2003 he was under contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue , for which he played 244 league games. In the second division season 2004/05 he suffered in the game against Wacker Burghausen after a kick by his opponent Hrvoje Vuković a lung tear and was briefly in mortal danger.
In 2008 Curri was relegated to the 3rd division with Aue. He remained loyal to the club and two years later managed to rise again. In 2011/12 he was only used sporadically as a "joker", but scored the decisive goal on the last day of the game, which ensured relegation.
For the 2012/13 season, Curri began working as a player-coach for the second team of FC Erzgebirge Aue. On April 27, 2013 he was sacked as a coach of the second team.
Currently plays in the regional league Upper Franconia East at the Spielvereinigung Poppenreuth.

Private
Curri is married with two children, a daughter and a son. In June 2012 it opened in Schwarzenberg / Erzgeb. an Albanian restaurant.
