The Kategoria e Pare 1992/93 (mutatis mutandis: First League ) was the 54th staging of the Albanian football championship and was the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit aligned. The season began on September 6, 1992 and ended on May 9, 1993.

Season course

As in the previous year, the league comprised 16 teams. In the season 1991/92 were KS Selenica and KF Skënderbeu Korçë relegated from the Kategoria e Pare, for the new season came KF ALBPETROL (already 1974/75 of the Kategoria e Pare under the name Punëtori Patos) and KS Sopoti Librazhd that completed his first season in the highest Albanian football league, added. The defending champion was KS Vllaznia Shkodra .

The championship was played in a regular season with a round trip. Each team competed twice against each other team. In contrast to the previous year, when only the two bottom of the table had to relegate to the then still second-rate category e dytë, this time the last three teams were relegated because the league was reduced to 14 teams. The champions moved into the UEFA Champions League , Albania did not provide a UEFA Cup participant for the following year.

A total of 545 goals were scored, which corresponds to an average of 2.3 goals per game. Edmond Dosti of FK Partizani Tirana was the top scorer with 20 goals .

After four runners-up in a row, Partizani Tirana finally made it back to the top of the league. With the fifteenth championship title in the club's history, Partizani was again the sole record champion in Albania. The runner-up Teuta Durrës had to admit defeat five points behind and ended up just ahead of Besa Kavaja and defending champion Vllaznia Shkodra . KF Elbasani followed at a greater distance in fifth place and was thus able to confidently stay in the league this year. As in the previous season, more than half of the clubs were involved in the relegation battle. While the other top team Dinamo Tirana saved themselves with three points ahead of the first relegation place, it was already narrower for Apolonia Fier , KS Lushnja , newcomer Albpetrol Patos and KS Laçi with only two points behind. With the former record champion SK Tirana and Flamurtari Vlora , two other traditional clubs just escaped the fall into the second class. The second climber Sopoti Librazhd was also able to avoid this. On the other hand, Kastrioti Kruja and Tomori Berat, who is directly behind, had to plan for the next season with the categoria e dytë, as did the last KS Pogradeci who had been beaten .
