Klubi Sportiv Albpetrol Patos (KS Albpetrol) is an Albanian football club from the city of Patos .

history

The club was founded in 1947 under the name KS Punëtori Patos and played in the 1974/75 season for the first time in the top Albanian league .

With the renewed rise in the then still first-class category e Parë , the name was changed to KS Albpetrol Patos in 1992 . Albpetrol is Albania's former national and now privatized energy company based in Patos.

In the year of promotion, Albpetrol made it into the final of the Albanian Football Cup ; There, however, the promoted defeated on May 19, 1993 in Durrës Partizani Tirana with 0: 1. Since Partizani was also Albanian champion, Albpetrol took part as a cup finalist in the European Cup Winners' Cup 1993/94 , but failed in the preliminary round in the duel of the European Cup debutants at FC Balzers from Liechtenstein .

At the end of the 1997/98 season, Albpetrol was relegated from the Superiore categories and was unable to continue his most successful period in later years.

In the 2014/15 season, Albpetrol belongs to the third-rate category e dytë .
