For the first time, the championship was played in championship round and relegation round. After the regular season, in which each team competed once against the other teams, the first six teams in the table made the championship title among themselves. The teams from seventh to twelve played the relegated to twelfth place. In both rounds the participating teams competed against each other once, the points from the regular season were updated.
A total of 381 goals were scored, which corresponds to an average of 4.0 goals per game. The top scorer was Refik Resmja from Partizani Tirana with an unknown number of hits.
After the regular round, an open title fight emerged: Newcomer Dinamo Tirana was tied with defending champion Partizani Tirana at the top. Vllaznia Shkodra followed three points behind . Besa Kavaja , promoted Bardhyli Lezha and Flamurtari Vlora also qualified for the championship round of the best six teams . Dinamo Korça and KS Ylli i Kuq Durrës missed the championship round by just one point . Also Bashkimi Elbasan , champions 17 Nëntori Tirana and Apolonia Fier followed into the relegation round. Last without points and with 70 goals against after eleven games, Spartaku Pogradec was at the bottom of the table.
In the so far closest decision for the title in the category e Parë, newcomer Dinamo Tirana prevailed against Partizani Tirana because of the direct comparison won . Dinamo achieved the same as Partizani three years earlier: as a newcomer, the championship could be celebrated in the first season of the first division. Long-time Partizani player Zihni Gjinali led Dinamo to success as player-coach. The other four teams also came in on the same ranks as after the regular season. Vllaznia Shkodra was third ahead of Besa Kavaja , promoted Lezha and Flamurtari Vlora . Lezha, however, withdrew after the season and did not appear again in 1951.
Dinamo Korça , Ylli i Kuq Durrës , 17 Nëntori Tirana and Bashkimi Elbasan , without a goal in the relegation round, were able to secure their relegation early on , and Apolonia Fier also avoided the last place in the table because Spartaku Pogradec lost all 16 games, no goal in the relegation round shot more and thus directly relegated to the then still second-rate category e dytë .
