As in the previous year, the season was held with 14 teams. The season started on September 21, 2002 and ended on May 24, 2003.
Season course
SK Tirana started the season with five wins. Partizani Tirana was tied on matchday nine, but then had a series of six draws.
Followers Vllaznia Shkodra were four points behind SK Tirana at the winter break, then lost three games in a row. SK Tirana was able to secure its 20th championship four match days before the end of the season. Defending champion KS Dinamo Tirana only finished sixth.
