Swiss Football Championship 2002/03

The 106th Swiss football championship took place in 2002 / 03 instead. The Grasshopper Club Zurich became Swiss champions .

mode

The championship was divided into two rounds. The preliminary round was played in autumn with 12 teams. In the spring of the final round, the 8 best teams from the preliminary round played against each other. For the final round, the points already scored were halved. The last four teams played in the Relegation / Promotion Playoffs with the four best teams in the National League B to the whereabouts in the National League A . By reducing the future Super League to 10 teams, only the 2 best teams in the promotion / relegation round could play in the highest league in the following season.

FC Aarau and FC St. Gallen remained in the Super League . FC Luzern and SR Delémont were relegated to the future Challenge League .
