The First Division 2002/03 was the 100th season of the top Belgian division in men's football . It started on August 9, 2002 and ended on May 25, 2003.

mode

The season started with 18 teams. They played against each other twice on a total of 34 match days, divided into a first round and a second half. The two bottom of the table were relegated.

The KV Mechelen occupied a relegation place at the end of the season. The club did not apply for a license for the following season in the professional league and was downgraded to the 3rd division . SK Lommel withdrew from the league after 26 games. All results were canceled. The club had only 13 players and was initially transferred to the 3rd division and then dissolved after bankruptcy.
