The First Division 1945/46 was the 43rd season of the top Belgian division in men's football . It began on August 26, 1945 and ended on June 2, 1946. Because of the Second World War , the championship was canceled the year before.

In order to remedy the injustices during the war, the Belgian federation decided to also allow the teams that had been relegated in the three "war championships" to participate. KVV Lyra decided to stay in the Second Division.

The 19 teams played against each other twice, divided into a first half and a second half. The two bottom of the table were relegated.
