The First Division 1963/64 was the 61st season of the top Belgian division in men's football . It began on September 7, 1963 and ended on April 26, 1964.

The 16 teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first half and a second half. The two newcomers, KFC Malines and KFC Turnhout , were relegated.

Turnhout affair

KFC Turnhout won 2-0 against KFC Beringen on Matchday 24 and was temporarily able to move away from the relegation ranks. Eight days later, Beringen's general manager sent an official complaint to URBSFA , accusing Turnhout of bribing Beringen's players. The resulting investigation confirmed the suspicion. The people involved were banned for life and the bribe was confiscated.

Turnhout was sentenced to relegation and was never again classy. The match was rated 5-0 for Beringen.
