The Daring Football Club was founded by students in 1895 and joined the Belgian Football Association in 1897 as the Daring Club de Bruxelles . In 1900 they merged with the Bruxelles Football Club to Daring Bruxelles Football Club , but took the name Daring Club de Bruxelles again after two years , after the club had also merged with Sporting Molenbeek and Skill FC . In 1903 the US Bruxelles association also joined. That year Daring reached the premier league and became local rivals for Union Saint-Gilloise . Since 1920 he was allowed to call himself Daring Club de Bruxelles Société Royale and led the trunk number two. In 1950 the name changed again to Royal Daring Club de Bruxelles and finally in 1970 to Royal Daring Club Molenbeek .

Shortly before World War II , Daring was accused of bribing a Union player. The club was relegated to the third division, but was able to play in the second division through an agreement with Union Hutoise. After 1950 Daring only played the role of an elevator team between the first and second leagues, and twice reached the European trade fair cup . The last descent followed in 1969. As a second division, the club was once again in the cup final in 1970. 1973 saw the merger with Racing White to Racing White Daring Molenbeek , whose successor club FC Brussels no longer participates in the game after the second division season 2013/14 due to financial problems.

The Royal Daring Tennis Hockey Club Molenbeek , which has around 500 members , has experienced an upswing in recent years. After almost 30 years of inferiority, the club rose again to the top Belgian league, the Honneur division, for the 2011/12 season . In 1922, hockey was introduced at the Royal Daring Club. After the Second World War, Daring had its heyday in hockey by winning numerous national titles.

The Royal Daring Club's hockey rink used to be directly northwest of the club's Edmond Machtens Stadium . Today's Stade Pévenage facility is located around 800 meters further north on Avenue de Cháteau. An artificial turf field, an ash court, as well as a small artificial hockey turf field and four tennis courts are available to the club, whereby the small hockey field was formed from three pre-existing tennis courts due to the progressive weighting of the club towards hockey.

The club maintains five men's and three women's teams. There are also four veteran teams and 23 youth teams. In the 2014/15 season, the Daring Club takes part in the Euro Hockey League for the first time.
