The Euro Hockey League 2014/2015 was the eighth season of the European Hockey Federation discharged Euro Hockey League , the most important European competition for club teams in hockey . The competition was played out in a total of two tournaments with group and knockout phases. The mode had changed for the first time since previous years. In four preliminary round groups of three teams each, the group leader qualified for the round of 16, for which twelve teams were already seeded. The knockout games were played at Easter 2015. In the final, the Dutch club Oranje Zwart from Eindhoven prevailed against the record winner Uhlenhorster HC from Hamburg 6: 5 after a shoot-out.

Attendees

A total of 24 teams from the 12 best-placed nations in the EHF 3-year ranking qualified for the EHL competition. All other nations starting at the European Cup sent their two participating teams to the Trophy and Challenge competitions. The nations on ranks 1-4 of the EHF 3-year ranking provided three clubs, those on positions 5-8 two and those from 9 to 12 one for the field of the EHL.

Two clubs qualified for each of the eight EHL draws: HC Dinamo Kazan from Russia and WKS Grunwald Posen from Poland. With the Belgian representative Royal Daring Club from Brussels, Dinamo-Stroitel Ekaterinburg from Russia, the Racing Club de France and the Monkstown HC from Ireland, four clubs made their debut at the EHL.

Thirteen of the 24 teams also played in the EHL last year. Two of the three previous title holders, record winners Uhlenhorster HC , and HC Bloemendaal were able to qualify nationally. After two years, Spain got a third place on the grid at the expense of England. Belarus and Wales no longer provide teams, but one club from Italy and one from Ireland were again eligible to compete in the EHL.
