Waterloo Ducks HC
The Waterloo Ducks Hockey Club is a Belgian hockey club founded in 1988 from the merger of the two predecessor clubs Waterloo and Ducks from the city of Waterloo in Walloon Brabant, 15 km south of Brussels . The club, which plays in green and white, has around 800 members, including 500 young people, and is one of the five largest Belgian hockey clubs. The club facility located in the east of Waterloo includes two artificial turf pitches and another smaller training field.

The " Watducks " are members of the men's Eredivisie , the first Belgian hockey league. In 2004 the Club represented Belgium at the EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup and finished seventh. After four unsuccessful play-off appearances, the team won the Belgian championship title in the field for the first time in 2006 and thus took part in the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup in 2007 , where the team came in fifth. In the first edition of the Euro Hockey League 2007/2008, the Waterloo Ducks reached the round of 16 after two draws in the preliminary round against the Club an der Alster and the HGC Wassenaar from the Netherlands, which were clearly lost 6-1 to HC Rotterdam . In the same year, the club with six players provided the framework for the Belgian national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . In the 2008/2009 season Waterloo reached the second round of the Euro Hockey League again, but was eliminated there again with the Amsterdamsche H&BC against a Dutch club. With first place in the championship preliminary round, the team already qualified for the Euro Hockey League 2009/2010.
In the 2018/19 season, Waterloo became the first Belgian hockey club to win the Euro Hockey League .
