Euro Hockey League 2007/08

The Euro Hockey League 2007/2008 was the premiere event of the Euro Hockey League newly introduced by the European Hockey Association EHF . The winner was the German representative Uhlenhorster HC from Hamburg. The following tournaments were held as part of the competition:

  • October 26th to 28th, 2007: 4 preliminary round groups in Wassenaar / Holland
  • 2nd to 4th November 2007: 4 preliminary round groups in Antwerp / Belgium
  • March 21 to 24, 2008: Round of 16 and quarter finals in Terrassa / Spain
  • May 8-11, 2008: Semi-finals and finals in Rotterdam / Holland

The best leagues include the Dutch Rabo Hoofdklasse , the Spanish Division de Honor Masculina - A , the English England Hockey League and the German Hockey Bundesliga . The national associations nominate these participants:

Preliminary round

There were 5 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and one point for a defeat with fewer than three goals. If there was a tie between points and goals, a 7-meter shoot-out was held for the second place in the group.

EuroHockey Club Trophy

The Euro Hockey Trophy was held by the French runner-up, CA Montrouge. It forms the first substructure for the Euro Hockey League. In addition to the title, the clubs also play for points for their national association in the EHF 3-year rating, which determines the number of clubs in a nation for the European Cup competitions. Qualified for the trophy were the runner-ups of the countries in positions 9 to 12 and the champions of the countries in positions 13 to 16 in the EHF 3-year ranking.
