Atlètic Terrassa
The Atlètic Terrassa HC is a sports club founded in 1952 as a hockey club from the Catalan city of Terrassa around 30 km northwest of Barcelona. The association, founded by seven young men from the Catholic Social Center in Terrassa, now has over 5000 members. In addition to traditional hockey, tennis , padel , fronton , basketball , swimming and gymnastics are offered. The spacious 6-hectare Can Salas club complex is located in the hills around 3 km northeast of the city center on the edge of the Sant Llorenç del Munt and l'Obac nature reserve. Atlètic acquired the area between 1967 and 1997. In addition to the Josep Marquès hockey stadium with a capacity of 1,500, the club also maintains two other artificial turf hockey fields. There are also thirteen tennis courts, nine paddle fields, an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool on the complex.

Men's
After its establishment, the men's team was long in the shadow of local rivals Club Egara. The first national championship in 1983 was followed by the title defense for the next eight years. By 2017 Atlètic had 21 Spanish championships, 16 cup victories and 19 Catalan championships. At the international level, too, the club rose to the top group from the 1980s. In 1985 and 1998 Atlètic won the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup and reached the final seven more times. In the EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup , two more European Cup victories were added to the club's collection of titles in 1994 and 2000. With a total of twelve European field hockey finals, Atlètic holds the record ahead of the Amsterdam H&BC (10) and the HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim (10).
