The Club an der Alster ( DCadA ) is a sports club from Hamburg founded on November 28, 1919 by members of the Alster Pirates , which initially only dedicated itself to hockey . In 1927 the tennis department was founded. The club has two locations in Hamburg. On the one hand at Rothenbaum with the clubhouse designed by Caesar Pinnau in 1956 and the tennis stadium completed in 1998, and also a hockey facility in Wellingsbüttel with artificial turf and three natural grass pitches. From 2005 to 2009 the club on the Alster was also officially registered as a swimming club. He has been a member of theLeading Tennis Clubs of Germany .

Both on the field and in the hall, men's and women's teams play in the 1st Bundesliga.

The ladies were under coach Jens "mouse" George German champions in 2006 , 2008 , 2009 and 2018 in the hall, in 2018 succeeded the first time the championship on the field, the 2019 was defended. In addition, they also won the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup in 2007 and 2009 in the hall.
