The Bielefelder TTC (officially: Bielefelder-Tennis-Tournament-Club eV ) is a tennis club from Bielefeld .

history

The association was founded on April 14, 1905, has the association colors green-white-black and has 704 members. The club's own square is located on Voltmannstrasse opposite Bielefeld University and has 13 clay courts . In addition, the club has a tennis hall with three courts and a fitness studio . Originally the club still had a hockey department , which, however, joined the Bielefelder TG in 1973 .

The sporting figurehead of the club is the men's team. In the 1980s, they played in the then second-rate Regionalliga West several times for promotion to the Bundesliga , but never made it to the top division. In 2015, the Bielefeld team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time.

The women's team has been playing in the fourth-class Westfalenliga since 2016. In 2015, the Bielefeld team had to be relegated from the regional league after four of the team's games were subsequently rated as lost. In these games, the Bielefeld TTC used two instead of the allowed one non- EU foreigner.
