The gymnastics and sports club Lichterfelde from 1887 (Berlin) e. V. , TuS Lichterfelde for short , mostly called TuSLi , is a sports club in the Berlin district of Lichterfelde . The club is best known for its children's and youth teams.

The association has 15 different departments. In 2019 the association had 2934 members, 1911 of them under 18 years of age. This makes TuS Lichterfelde the association with the largest number of members in the Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf . One of the most important departments of the club is the LG-South athletics department .

history

The club has existed since 1887 and was originally founded as the Groß-Lichterfelde men's gymnastics club.

The hockey department was transformed into a branch club in 2008, TuS Lichterfelde Hockey e. V. ( TuSLi-Hockey ), with whom a connection and cooperation exists to this day.

In 2009, the department was basketball in the TuS Lichterfelde Basketball e. V. converted. Since 2011 this is no longer a branch of the TuSLi, there are no longer any connections or collaborations between the two associations.

With the basketball Bundesliga club Alba Berlin there was a cooperation agreement for the youth work, which the TuS Lichterfelde Basketball e. V. continues.

  • Promotion of the first men's team to the Oberliga Nord-Ost 2020.

  • Promotion of the first men's team to the second national basketball division in 2006.
  • Promotion of the first men's team to the first Bundesliga in 2000.
  • The first men's team (Young Guns) played in the 2nd Bundesliga for several years.
  • In 2004 the various youth teams became 2 × German Masters , 3 × North German Masters, 4 × East German Masters and 4 × Berlin Masters.

hockey

  • The first men's and women's teams have been playing in the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga for years.
  • The greatest successes were the men’s entry into the quarter-finals for the German championship in the hall in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009, the women’s promotion to the 1st Bundesliga field in 2005, as well as participation in the final round for the German championship in hall 2002 .
  • With over 200 young people in the hockey department, TuSLi is one of the largest promoters of young talent in Germany.
  • The youth teams won a total of 6 German championship titles, countless East German and Berlin championship titles.
  • Quarter-finals for women and men in 2008 against the Club on the Alster.
  • Third place for the men at the Berlin Amateur Sports Prize 2017
  • C-Boys Bear Cup victory 2000
