AZS Politechnika Poznań
The AZS Politechnika Poznań (until 2012: KS Pocztowiec Poznań) is a sports club under the umbrella of the Academic Sports Association (AZS) of the Polytechnic from the Polish city of Poznan . It was founded in 1932 by postal workers and is still the Poster's Club today. The club stadium was built in 1938, at that time the club had departments in all major sports and won national titles in sport shooting and archery . Between 1948 and 1950 there were five Polish championships for canoeists from Pocztowiec. Apparatus gymnasts from the club participated in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul . In sailing, club members won national titles in various boat classes and became vice world champion in 1998. The hockey and chess departments are now the most successful branches of the club. Further departments exist in tennis , table tennis , sailing and motor boating . Pocztowiec also organizes sports competitions for postal and telecommunications workers.
On March 22, 2012, the general assembly of the Pocztowiec Association decided to dissolve and to join the AZS Politechnika Poznań.

The history of the hockey department goes back to 1975, when Pocztowiec took over the hockey department of the WKS Grunwald Poznań . And although Grunwald resumed hockey a few years later, hockey continued to be played at Pocztowiec. Since then, the club has won numerous championships on the field and in the hall. Since 1992 Pocztowiec, who plays in dark blue shirts and trousers, has also taken part in European Cup competitions and won two indoor European Cup titles in 2003 and 2007. The club also forms the core of the Polish national team with participation in the Olympic Games. There has also been a women's team since 1999, which became Polish champions in both indoor and outdoor arenas in 2006.
