Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club is an Irish hockey club located on Grange Road in the Rathfarnham district of Dublin . He is a member of the Irish Hockey Association through the Leinster Regional Hockey Association . The club currently has six men's and five women's teams in the Leinster Hockey Leagues. The club, playing in the colors sky blue-brown-navy, was founded in the season 1893/94 by graduates of the Dublin University Hockey Club and is thus the second oldest in Ireland. The club originally played on courses in Foxrock before moving to Londonbridge Road. When the club sold this site in 1981, an artificial turf pitch was built at the new Grange Road site. Three Rock Rovers now has another artificial turf. From 1988, the Mountain Ladies Hockey Club also used the facility on Grange Road. On May 25, 1999, the two clubs merged to form what is now the Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club. The club was Ireland's representative at the Euro Hockey League 2008/2009, where the team reached the round of 16 after two draws against KHC Leuven and Atlètic Terrassa , which in turn was clearly lost 6-2 to Leuven.
