Irish Hockey Association

The Irish Hockey Association is the joint field and indoor hockey association for Ireland and Northern Ireland . The association was founded in 2000 through the merger of the women's and men's associations. The associations had existed since the late 19th century. The IHA is a member of the World Hockey Federation FIH . The flag of the association shows the coats of arms of the four historical provinces of the island of Ireland, the anthem of the association is Ireland's Call .

The association has eight regional sub-associations. The five women's associations are Leinster, Munster, Connacht, Ulster and South East. The three men's associations are Leinster, Munster and Ulster. It is planned to also merge the regional associations, as has been done at the national level.

168 clubs and 280 schools are affiliated to the IHA through membership in regional associations. The IHA also provides the Irish national teams.

Ireland is 10th in the world rankings for men and 16th for women (as of March 2017).
