Irish national hockey team
The Irish national women's hockey team is the team that represents Ireland in international tournaments. She is a member of the Irish Hockey Association .
The Irish were able to qualify for three world championships: in 2002 they reached a 15th place, an 11th place in 1994 and a 12th place in 1986 . The Irish women achieved their best position so far with a third place at the FIH Champions Challenge II 2009 in Kazan , Russia.
The Irish are currently ranked 15th in the world - and 8th in the European ranking .
