Canadian women's national hockey team

The Canadian women's national hockey team represents Canada in international hockey competitions. Their first tournament was the 1978 World Hockey Championship in Madrid , which ended in fifth place for the Canadians. In 1979 Canada hosted the World Cup, which ended in 8th place (18 participants).

Canada currently ranks 19th in the world - and 3rd in the Pan-America rankings.
