The 1983 women's field hockey world championship was the fifth edition of the women's field hockey world championship . It took place from April 10th to 23rd in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . The Dutch won the final against Canada. This made the Netherlands once again the sole record winner with 3 titles.
