Dinamo-Stroitel Yekaterinburg ( Russian Динамо-Строитель Екатеринбург ) is one of the most successful Russian field and indoor hockey clubs . After Dinamo Alma-Ata and HC Dinamo Kazan , the club has won the third most national titles in the USSR and Russia. The club's artificial turf hockey pitch is around 1.5 km south of Yekaterinburg Central Station . The team was founded in 1969 as SKA Swerdlovsk . Since 1999 the club has been playing under the name Dinamo and since 2004 as Dinamo-Stroitel. The greatest success of the club was reaching the finals of the European Cup in 1981 . In the 2014/2015 season, Yekaterinburg qualified second in the Russian championship for the Euro Hockey League for the first time .
