Erwin Parker

Erwin Parker (born on 26. June 1903 as Erwin Pinkus in Berlin died, 1. November 1987 in Zurich ) was a German actor , radio speaker and acting teacher .

Life

After attending the reform school in Odenwald, he completed an eight-month apprenticeship at AEG before taking acting classes with Ferdinand Gregori in Berlin.

He was married to Heidi Sturzenegger.

He found his final resting place in the Witikon cemetery in Zurich . Erwin Parker's estate is in the Zurich City Archives.

career

He made his debut in 1924 with the Holtorftruppe , from 1925 to 1930 he was engaged at the Stadttheater Münster and from 1930 to 1933 at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and Stadttheater Düsseldorf . In 1933 he toured Belgium, the Netherlands and England with the Jeßertruppe. From January 1934 he was a member of the Swiss cabaret ping pong . From 1934 to 1936 he worked for the first time at the Schauspielhaus Zurich and in 1936/37 at the Theater an der Wien . From 1937 until his death he appeared again at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. Here he played hundreds of mostly smaller roles. He was also a director at the fairy tale stage.

He was a teacher at the Zurich Stage Studio (predecessor of the Zurich University of the Arts ).

In the short period from 1968 to 1969 he was co-director of the Schauspielhaus Zürich alongside Teo Otto and Otto Weissert .
