Gerold Späth

Gerold Späth (born October 16, 1939 in Rapperswil ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Späth comes from a family of organ builders . After attending secondary school , he completed an apprenticeship as an export merchant. He stayed for a long time in Vevey , London and Freiburg in Üechtland . He started writing in 1968, but worked in his father's family business Späth Orgelbau until 1975 . Today he lives with his family in Italy and Ireland .

Gerold Späth is a member of PEN -Zentrums of Switzerland and corresponding member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts .
