Fotbollsallsvenskan 2002

The Fotbollsallsvenskan 2003 was the 79th season of the highest Swedish football league . It started on April 5 and ended on October 26, 2003.

The double winner of the previous year Djurgårdens IF won the tenth championship title in the club's history. Since the 10th match day, the team defended the championship lead and won the Lennart Johansson Cup at the end of the season with a seven point lead .

At the end of the table, the relegation battle for GIF Sundsvall , Östers IF and Enköpings SK became apparent early on. The three clubs captured only a single-digit number of points in the second half of the season. GIF Sundsvall was able to save itself on the last day of the game with a 2-1 win over Halmstads BK and ultimately remained first class. However, the two climbers had to go back to the Superettan .
