The leader of the table after the last match day was awarded the title of Swedish national champion and will take part in qualifying for the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League . The two teams placed behind will move into qualifying for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League alongside the winner of the national cup, which will be determined by the summer . The two bottom of the table were relegated directly to the Superettan, the third-bottom competed in a relegation round consisting of a two-legged friend against the third-placed team in the second division.

    Relegation

    In the relegation, the third last of the Allsvenskan Halmstads BK met the third of the Superettan 2013 GIF Sundsvall . In the previous year, these teams had also met in the relegation under opposite signs, Halmstads BK had been able to prevail and thus rose, while GIF Sundsvall had to go into the second division.
