The IFK Norrköping , officially Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Norrköping ( German : Sportverein Die Kameraden Norrköping), is a Swedish football club from the city of Norrköping . With thirteen championship titles and six cup wins, Norrköping is one of Sweden's most successful clubs.
history
Between 1943 and 1963, this team dominated Swedish football, not least thanks to the legendary Nordahl brothers and Nils Liedholm . At the end of the 1980s, the club experienced a sporting renaissance. In 1990 star striker Tomas Brolin played one season in Norrköping before his breakthrough in Italy. From the 2003 season, the club initially played second class. In 2008 the jump was made back to the Allsvenskan , which however had to be left after only one season. The IFK Norrköping finished the Superettan season 2009 in eleventh place in the table and rose again to the Allsvenskan as second in the next year . The 2011 season ended the IFK Norrköping in the first division as thirteenth in the table. In 2015 the club won its 13th league title. In the all-time table of Allsvenskan (as of 2016) the IFK is in fourth place.
The club's ice hockey department took part in the Swedish championship , which was still held in cup mode at the time, several times in the 1940s and 1950s . She also appeared several times in the then highest Swedish league, Division 1 .
