Ove Kindvall (born May 16, 1943 in Norrköping ) is a former Swedish football player .

Career

Kindvall 1966 with the awards as Sweden's footballer of the year and top scorer of the Allsvenskan

Striker Ove Kindvall started his career at IFK Norrköping and moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam in 1966 . In the same year he was voted Sweden's Footballer of the Year . In 1969 he became Dutch champions with Feyenoord and in 1970 he won the European Cup . In the final against Celtic Glasgow he scored the winning goal. He then took part for the Swedish national football team at the 1970 World Cup, where the team was unlucky enough to be eliminated in the preliminary round.

In 1971 he returned to Sweden to IFK Norrköping and took part with Sweden in the 1974 World Cup in Germany . In 1975 he went to IFK Gothenburg , where he ended his career in 1977. He made a total of 43 appearances in the Swedish national team and scored 16 goals.

In 1969 Kindvall was honored with the Svenska Dagbladet gold medal.

His son Niclas Kindvall (* 1967 in Rotterdam ) also became a soccer player and played for Hamburger SV in 1995 .
