Fotbollsallsvenskan 1998

The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1999 was the 75th season of the highest Swedish football league . Between April 10 and October 30, 1999, the Swedish football champions were played in it.

Last year's cup winner Helsingborgs IF was able to relegate last year's champion AIK Solna to second place. With the fourth win of the Von Rosens Cup in the club's history, the team around players like Andreas Jakobsson , Roland Nilsson , Rade Prica and Erik Wahlstedt ended a dry spell of 58 years without a championship title.

The traditional clubs and multiple national champions Djurgårdens IF and Malmö FF had to relegate directly to the second division , Kalmar FF and Örebro SK occupied the relegation places . While KFF failed there at GAIS Gothenburg , ÖSK succeeded against Assyriska FF after prolonging relegation.
