The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1966 was the 42nd season of the highest Swedish football league . Between April 24 and October 30, 1966, the Swedish football champions were played in it.

Two years after the last triumph, Djurgårdens IF won the Swedish championship again. The team trained by Torsten Lindberg around Claes Cronqvist Ronney Pettersson , Gösta Sandberg and Sven Lindman was able to raise the Von Rosens Cup for the eighth time in the club's history . At the end of the table, promoted IK Brage occupied a relegation place and had to relegate immediately. The club was from Degerfors IF in the Division 2 accompanied.
