Fotbollsallsvenskan 1997

The 1998 Fotbollsallsvenskan was the 74th season of the top Swedish football league . Between April 4 and November 8, 1998, the Swedish football champions were played in it.

In a tight decision, AIK Solna was able to win the Von Rosens Cup for the tenth time in the club's history . It was only on the last day of the match that the leading Helsingborgs IF could be overtaken when the competitor lost 2-1 to the relegated BK Häcken , while AIK was able to take the lead with a 1-0 win over Örgryte IS . Curious: AIK managed to get the championship title with an average of less than one goal per season game. The club from Solna only scored 25 goals this season in 26 games. He had the weakest attack in the league.

In addition to the Gothenburg club BK Häcken, Östers IF rose directly to the second-class Division 1 . The relegation places occupied Örgryte IS and Trelleborgs FF , both clubs were able to prevail in the relegation and manage to stay up.
