The 1977 Fotbollsallsvenskan was the 53rd season of the top Swedish football league . Between April 11 and October 16, 1977, the Swedish football champions were played in it.
Last year's second Malmö FF was able to conquer the Von Rosens Cup as Swedish champions for the twelfth time in the club's history . The club outstripped the eleven-time champions Örgryte IS and IFK Norrköping and made themselves the sole Swedish record champions.
League newcomer BK Derby only had three wins this season and was therefore last in the table. The club from Linköping was accompanied by IFK Sundsvall in the second-rate division 2 .
