BK Derby
Bollklubben Derby is a Swedish sports club from Linköping . The club is best known for its bandy and football division , both of which competed in the Swedish first division. There is also a department for ice hockey .
history
BK Derby was founded on April 15, 1912. 1976 BK Derby was champion of Division 2 Norra and made it to the Allsvenskan . The 1977 season was ended after only three season successes with twelve plus points as bottom of the table and thus sealed the direct relegation. As a relegated only the fifth place succeeded in Division 2 and one season later, the penultimate even crashed into the third-class Division 3 . In 1981 the football department merged with IF Saab to Linköpings FF to form a powerful team in the city. In 1984, a new football department was founded at BK Derby, which has formed a syndicate with BK Wolfram since 2003 and competes under the name BK Derby / Wolfram .
In the seasons 1935, 1940, 1949, 1955 and the 2005/2006 season, the bandy team played each in the Allsvenskan, but could never create relegation.
