Fotbollsallsvenskan 1982

The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1983 was the 59th season of the highest Swedish football league . The Swedish championship was played between April 16 and October 2, 1983.

As in the previous year, the champions were played in a final round after regular time. While AIK was able to start the championship finals as first in the table, the team failed in the semifinals against defending champions IFK Göteborg , who also won the final against Östers IF in the end . The reigning cup winner thus achieved the ninth victory of the Von Rosens Cup in the club's history. The newly promoted Mjällby AIF and BK Häcken had to relegate straight back to Division II .
