The 1982 Fotbollsallsvenskan was the 58th season of the top Swedish football league . Between April 24 and September 25, 1982, the Swedish championship was played.

For the first time after regular playing time, the champions were played in a final round. With IFK Göteborg , the team that had topped the table after the end of the regular season also became champions. This was the eighth time in the club's history that the team won the Von Rosens Cup . With Kalmar FF , IFK Norrköping , AIK Solna and Åtvidabergs FF , the last four teams competed in the relegation. Only AIK was able to prevail and stay in the league.
