The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1991 was the 67th season of the top Swedish football league . Regular playing time took place between April 7 and August 11, 1991, before the six best-placed teams played off the Swedish football champions by October 27 of that year. At the same time, the four worst-placed teams played with the four best-placed teams in the second division for the four other places in the 1992 season .

After IFK Göteborg had finished the regular season with equal points with Örebro SK, the team supervised by Roger Gustafsson around players like Pontus Kåmark , Thomas Ravelli , Kaj Eskelinen , Mikael Nilsson , Ola Svensson and Håkan Mild was able to distance the competition in the championship final round and the previous year Defend the Von Rosens Cup .
