The Trelleborgs FF is a Swedish football club in the city of Trelleborg . The club was founded on December 6, 1926 and played again in the Swedish First League Allsvenskan in the 2018 season .

history

In 1984 you could, after two qualifying games against Åtvidabergs FF , qualify for the first time in the club's history for the top Swedish division, the Allsvenskan . Trelleborg lost their first game in Åtvidaberg 1-0. The second leg was won 3-1 in front of 9,790 spectators at the home stadium Vångavallen . After being promoted, however, after only one season in 1985, they were relegated to the second division again.

In 1991 he was again promoted to the Allsvenskan. In 1994 Trelleborgs FF played in the UEFA Cup , after finishing 4th in the Allsvenskan in 1993 . In the UEFA Cup they first beat GÍ Gøta (1-0 and 3-2) from the Faroe Islands . The next round saw a remarkable win against Blackburn Rovers (1-0 in England and 2-2 at home). Lazio Rome was then the opponent in the third round. After playing 0-0 at home, Trelleborgs FF had to admit defeat in Rome with 0-1 in extra time.

After this "heyday" in the club's history, the club stayed in the Allsvenskan until 2001, before being relegated to the Superettan . The club then played between 2002 and 2006 in the second division. The membership in the second division was interrupted by a rather unsuccessful interlude in the Allsvenskan in 2004 . From 2007 to 2011 Trelleborgs FF belonged again to the Allsvenskan. In the first season 2007 only just managed to stay ahead of the tied IF Brommapojkarna . As the penultimate with 3 points behind the relegation place, however, followed in 2011 the renewed relegation to the Superettan . The negative trend continued in 2012; the club was relegated directly to Division 1 Södra. Due to the sporting descent, the club also has to struggle with a personal and financial bloodletting. Numerous sponsors said goodbye to their commitment to the TFF. In 2015 the club set a new record of 10 wins in a row. After the season they rose to the Superettan as the first in the table .

Eternal table

In the all-time table of Allsvenskan, the club is in 20th place after the 2015 season, after 17 seasons in this division.
