Degerfors IF is a Swedish football club from Degerfors in Värmland . The club culture and sporting success have long been associated with the local steelworks. The association bears the emblem of the steel industry and the metalworkers' union in its coat of arms. In the first decades of its existence, most of the club's footballers were employed in the steel mill. Early years

Degerfors IF was founded in 1907. In 1932, the football team benefited as fourth in the third division from an increase in the second division from two to four seasons and rose to the second division.
