Olle Åhlund

Sten Olov "Olle" Åhlund (born August 22, 1920 in Degerfors , † February 11, 1996 ibid) was a Swedish football player and coach.

In 1939 Åhlund made his debut for Degerfors IF in the Allsvenskan . In 1951 he was awarded the Guldbollen as Sweden's Footballer of the Year. After 312 first division games, he ended his active career in 1959. He later coached the club.

On November 15, 1942, Åhlund made his international debut when Sweden lost 3-1 to Switzerland in Zurich . As a substitute, he won gold at the 1948 Olympic Games and was third at the 1950 World Cup . At the 1952 Olympics , he again came third. He played a total of 34 international matches.
