Ralf Edström (born October 7, 1952 in Degerfors ) is a former Swedish football player .

Edström began his professional career at the then Swedish first division club Åtvidabergs FF in 1971 and became Swedish champions with this club in 1972 . The 1.91 m wide Striker then moved in 1973 to PSV Eindhoven and took for the Swedish national team at the 1974 FIFA World Cup in Germany in part. He took part in all six games of Sweden at this World Cup and scored four goals. In the rain game in Düsseldorf against Germany in the second final round, he brought his country 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. The game was lost 2: 4 in the end.

In 1977 he moved back to Sweden to IFK Gothenburg and then played his second World Cup tournament at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina . However, his team did not get beyond the preliminary round at this tournament. In 1979 he moved to the Belgian league for Standard Liège . He ended his international career between 1981 and 1983 at AS Monaco .

Ralf Edström played a total of 40 international matches for Sweden and scored 15 goals in these games.

Until 2015 Edström worked, among other things, as a football expert for Swedish radio .
