Olle Zetherlund

Karl Olof Axel "Olle" Zetherlund (born August 24, 1911 in Stockholm ; † October 2, 1974 ibid) was a Swedish football player .

career

Zetherlund started his career at IFK Stockholm . In 1933 he moved to AIK Solna in the Allsvenskan . Here he played six seasons until the end of his career in 1939. In 54 league games, the striker scored 40 goals. In the 1936/37 season he scored 23 goals in 22 games for his club to win the championship. In addition, his goal threat earned him the title of top scorer. He also holds the club's internal record with goals per season.

On June 16, 1937, he came to his home Råsunda stadium for his only appearance in the Swedish national jersey , when Finland was beaten 4-0 in qualifying for the 1938 World Cup .

After the end of his active career, the accountant stayed with the association as a board member.
