Mats Lilienberg
Mats Lilienberg (born December 22, 1969 in Vollsjö ) is a former Swedish football player .
career
Lilienberg made his debut for Trelleborgs FF in 1990 . In 1993 he became the Allsvenskan top scorer . In winter he moved to TSV 1860 Munich in the 2nd Bundesliga . He scored three goals in 13 games. In the following season he came to six Bundesliga appearances . In the 1-1 draw against Bayer Uerdingen , he scored his only first division goal in Germany.
In winter he returned to Sweden and played for IFK Göteborg for a year and a half . With the club he was twice champion. In the Champions League season 94/95 he played for the club in the quarter-finals against FC Bayern Munich . After the 0-0 draw in Munich, the club retired despite a goal from Lilienberg after 2-0 lead at 2-2 in the second leg because of the away goals rule .
In the 1997 season he moved to Halmstads BK . With 14 goals he was the top scorer in Sweden for the second time in his career and won the championship title with the club. In the farewell game of Freddie Ljungberg , who moved to Arsenal , he stole the show when he scored four goals. In 1999 he moved to league rivals Malmö FF . With the club he was relegated to the Superettan , but remained loyal to him in the second division, where he formed the storm duo with Zlatan Ibrahimović . After the direct resurgence, he stayed with MFF until 2002. Then he returned to his first professional station TFF. In 2004 he ended his active career with the second division.
