Leif Skiöld (born July 28, 1935 in Nynäshamn , † October 27, 2014 ) was a Swedish football , ice hockey and bandy player . The striker won the title of soccer top scorer in the Allsvenskan season in 1962 and made his debut for the Swedish national soccer team in the same year .

Career

Skiöld started playing in his hometown of Nynäshamn. At Nynäshamns IF he went through various youth teams before making his debut in the club's first football team at the age of 15. There he was noticed by those responsible for the multiple national champion AIK . This engaged the young player in the summer of 1954 for the ice hockey and soccer team, while he continued to play for the bandy team of Nynäshamns IF.

At AIK, Skiöld initially played mainly ice hockey and made his debut in May 1955 for the football team in the Allsvenskan . At the same time, he then developed into a regular player in both sports. As a regular goalscorer, he was one of the Allsvenskan's best strikers in the late 1950s and was the club's best internal goalscorer. In the course of 1959 there was a falling out with AIK, because he did not want to join the bandy team.

Skiöld therefore moved to Djurgårdens IF in early 1960 , where he also played ice hockey and football in parallel. While he was promoted to the Allsvenskan with the football team in 1960, he won the Swedish championship four times in a row with the ice hockey team between 1960 and 1963. In the season of 1962 he returned to the old goal danger in football. With 21 goals, he placed himself at the top of the Allsvenskan's list of goalscorers and was also appointed to the national team in the course of the year. On September 16, he made his debut alongside Bengt Nyholm , Lennart Wing , Ingvar Svahn and Tom Turesson in the 2-1 defeat against Norway in the national jersey and crowned his performance with the goal for Sweden. By the end of the year he was a regular for the team and scored as many goals in a total of four games. In the 1964 season he and his club won the Von Rosens Cup for the Swedish national champions.

After the end of the 1965 season, Skiöld left after 54 first division games in which he had scored 33 goals, the Stockholm club and joined IFK Luleå as a player- coach . After a season he went back to his hometown club Nynäshamns IF, where he probably ended his active career in 1969.

In 1968, Skiöld went self-employed as a trained electrician and founded Elservice Leif Skiöld AB .
